My name is Toby Precht.  I am certain many people, especially youth, do not fully understand and grasp the significance of stalking, harassment and violence.  What constitutes these terms and how easily anyone can get into trouble through them. At the time of my crime-at the age of 36-I just simply could not wrap my head around what I had done, and that it was even remotely considered bad enough to put someone in prison for.  In my own head, I rationalized that I was not a bad person.  I had never gotten into trouble and I came from a good family.  In my mind, just texting, calling, using social media and leaving a sign somewhere to be noticed was like a game.  This was far from a game to the victim, the community and the people that cared for me. My anger at an issue took over and led me to believe that what I was doing was justified.

Now I have fully grasped the magnitude of what I was doing and that my antagonistic behavior struck fear in others.  I can never undo what has been done.  However I can make a difference in bringing awareness to an issue that is very big in the world we live in.  I would be honored to help others and feel it is my duty to do so.
