School Wellness Screenings
An online student questionnaire which asks 55 basic well-being questions and these questions will in turn tell us individuals who are at risk for harming themselves or others, as well as other emotional issues. These results can then be used to identify and assist at-risk students through intervention resources, medication, medical treatment and various other community services.
How great would it be to finally know which students are struggling with anger management, depression, and drug/alcohol issues. School Counselors can direct their attention to high risk kids instead of guessing what child needs their help.
Students will be asked questions about themselves and others so they can now be the eyes and ears to a violence-free educational environment.
Proactive Wellness Program
An anonymous reporting system for schools and businesses which allows students, teachers, employees, and the community to call, message or email when they see or hear anything unsafe or suspicious. It is a direct link to stopping violence on school campuses 24 hours per day/ 7 days a week and 365 days/year.
School Administrators will have every incident report in one location for easy monitoring and retrieval.
Access reports from home, school and on vacation.
Demonstrate to the School Board, parents, students and the community your school is leading edge when it comes to school security!

What do the statistics tell us.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) tells us the first step to preventing school violence is to understand the extent and nature of the problem. The question is how is that achieved? How do we determine what students are at risk of carrying a gun to school or what child has the potential to pull the trigger on another student or teacher? How do we gage whether an individual has the knowledge and know how to create a violent plan to harm others and execute it flawlessly?
Up to this point, our society has pointed fingers at one another and complained about gun control and mental health issues but the fact still remains our students are being killed. In 2018, there have been 42 school shootings. This is not acceptable. So, what do we do? As parents, teachers and school administrators how do we ensure our children are safe while they are trying to learn.
Well-being Safety Assessments (WSA) believe they have the answer. Rebecca West, the owner of WSA has a Master's degree in Counseling and has made a career out of helping children with violent backgrounds. She knows there is no way to remove all the guns in the world or to destroy every online self-taught video on bomb-making but what we can do is be PROACTIVE.
How can we be proactive?
Just as dangerous students are learning from those who took the destructive path before them, we can also learn from what has occurred and plan accordingly.
After assessing the previous school attacks, we now know three very important facts: 1. what types of individuals are committing acts of school violence 2. what the individual's typical background looks like 3. what these individuals do prior to following through with their plan.
With this information in hand, how do we then prevent another school shooting? Well-being Safety Assessments have created a Collection of Proactive Programs to assist schools in becoming safer. Knowledge is the key to a more secure tomorrow and WSA holds over 15 years of experience in the field.
